America on the Move is coming to Buffalo State. The Employee Assistance Program and Health and Wellness Department majors have partnered to bring our faculty and staff this fun, easy, and effective personal enrichment program.

The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center will host a Volunteer Fair for Buffalo State students in the Campbell Student Union lobby on Wednesday, September 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Representatives from area organizations will be in attendance to speak with students about exciting volunteer opportunities available for individuals and groups throughout the year.

An interfaith time for reflection will be held on Monday, September 11, at 12:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Campbell Student Union. This gathering for remembrance is sponsored by the Campus Ministries and the Counseling Center. Please join us. Any questions, please call ext. 4436.

The Academic Theme CD will arrive on campus early next week. It will be distributed to students in ENG 101, BSC 101, and INS 207. Faculty members will receive a copy through their academic departments. Faculty and staff who are interested in additional copies should contact University College, ext. 5906, or e-mail University College.

Please remind students: The deadline for seniors to submit their applications for December 2006 graduation is September 15. They may download the form at www.buffalostate.edu/registrar/forms.xml or complete the form at the Registrar’s Office in Moot Hall. The number of credits required for a degree is 120.

For the entire month of September, Java-U will offer two new exciting javalanches!

The annual Buffalo State College Service Day will be held this year on Saturday, October 14. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to participate. More information to come shortly or contact Fred Howe at ext. 5939.

The documentary will air nationally on PBS. This production highlights 32 images from the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society Research Library Collections, including the Larkin Administration Building, Elbert Hubbard, John D. Larkin, the Darwin Martin House, Lafayette Square, Lackawanna Steel, the Richardson Complex, and the Erie Canal. Library staff worked with producer Regina Ticco on the project.
