The State Legislature has mandated the use of a new TAP Satisfactory Academic Progress chart effective for the 2006–2007 academic year for all TAP and APTS recipients. The new chart is available at www.buffalostate.edu/financialaid/x635.xml and supersedes the chart published in the undergraduate catalog.

The SABRE system will be unavailable beginning at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, and continuing through 1:00 a.m. Monday, October 16. Preparation for spring registration will occur during this time.

We have once again noticed an increase in fraudulent e-mail, especially those that appear to be from a bank or other business at which you may have an account. Many of these are not picked up by the junk-mail filters and may be delivered to your e-mailbox. These e-mails are characterized by some warning or concern about your account status and a request for you to verify account information. There is generally a link to a Web site provided for this purpose.

This fall I (Wendy Paterson) am undertaking research on single-parent and divorced fathers for a book I am writing entitled Divorced Dads: The Other Side of the Story. I will be running my first focus group on October 1 to be followed up with interviews for selected participants.
