Flu Shots Offered October 17 and 26

Flu shots will be given in the Campbell Student Union lobby on Tuesday, October 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. There will be no cost to employees covered by Univera, Independent Health, Community Blue, Blue Choice, Preferred Care, and Medicare Part B who show valid health-insurance cards. Faculty and staff not covered by these plans will be charged a $25 co-pay for the flu shot.

But before you glance,  say, “same old, same old,” and toss away the latest edition of the “Buffalo State College Emergency Procedures” brochure, I strongly recommend you give it a careful read and post it near your telephone or computer. Why? Because personal wellness is informed, is proactive, targets the reduction of lifestyle risk(s), and attempts to protect long-term health while promoting your enjoyment of life. No, there won’t be a written exam—just lifelong consequences if things run amok in an emergency.

Roof Repairs Affect Parking

Roof repairs to Ketchum and Bacon Halls are scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 3. A maximum of five parking spaces in Lot W will be utilized by the roofing contractor during work at Bacon Hall. Once the work at Bacon Hall is completed, the contractor will begin repair work at Ketchum Hall, where a maximum of five parking spaces will be utilized in Lot B.
