Midnight Madness Coming Saturday

Midnight Madness is coming to the Sports Arena this Saturday night. Midnight Madness is the traditional opening practice of the college basketball season and is celebrated on campuses all across the nation. This is your first look at the men's and women's basketball teams here at Buffalo State as well as your chance to win dozens of prizes and giveaways throughout the night. Included in the celebration are three-point shooting contests, scrimmages by both teams, and a slam dunk competition. Doors open at 11:15 p.m., and admission is free.

McNair Scholars Information and Recruitment Session on October 19

The McNair Scholars Program will host an information and recruitment session on Thursday, October 19, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Science Building 250. The program helps prepare first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented Buffalo State students for graduate study. Students who participate in this program are provided with research opportunities and faculty mentors.

Archives Week Celebration!

This is of special interest to elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Archives: Bridges from the Past to the Present—An Educator’s Open House for History, on Saturday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, 220 North Street, Buffalo, NY. The Open House introduces educators to the many unique resources that are available locally to enrich the learning experience of students. Representatives from local historical and cultural agencies will be available to explain and demonstrate their education products and services.
