The annual Homecoming/Parents Weekend Pep Rally, supported by United Students Government, will be staged Thursday in the Student Union beginning at 12:15 p.m. Highlighting the event will be the finals of the Lip Sync competition and great giveaways courtesy of Athletics and USG.

Buffalo State students in the museum studies program are working with the Buffalo Museum of Science to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Blizzard of ’77. To commemorate the anniversary, the museum will display blizzard memorabilia as part of its winter-themed exhibit SNOW, running November 18, 2006–February 25, 2007.

This Friday, October 27, is the deadline for students to apply for the Puerto Rico program, which involves academic work in spring 2007 followed by three weeks in Puerto Rico in May and June. Applications are available in South Wing 410.

The Faculty-Student Association is accepting applications for grants to enhance the educational and cultural life of the Buffalo State College campus. A total of $20,000 is available for programs.

The annual Homecoming Food Drive to benefit the Buffalo State Food Pantry will be held Friday, October 26, from noon to 2:00 p.m. Students will be canvassing the campus for donations from faculty and staff.
