When looking at your list of classes on the grading screen, the status column will indicate “Incomplete” for all classes until after the grading period ends. If you have successfully submitted your grades (you receive a confirmation that your grades have been saved), the grades you entered have been officially submitted. Please disregard the word “Incomplete” in the status column. Please see the faculty/staff SABRE Web site for grading instructions and additional information.
NCAA Division III regulations do not allow athletic ability or participation to be taken into account in the awarding of scholarships to our students. Further, per federal financial aid regulations, notification must be sent to the Financial Aid Office any time a scholarship is awarded to a Buffalo State student. If your department is granting scholarships, please be aware of these policies. Questions of compliance should be addressed to the financial aid director, Kent McGowan.
Runners and walkers of all speeds are encouraged to register for Buffalo State's team in the 26th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge. The 3.5-mile event is Thursday, June 8. Race time is 6:45 p.m., but we'll get there early to celebrate our team. Remember, runners and walkers are invited to this fun event. If you're interested in joining us and reenergizing Buffalo State's participation in this terrific event, contact Tom Koller, associate director of external fund-raising, at ext. 6514 or kollertc@buffalostate.edu by Friday, May 10.
The Verizon Foundation will provide $20,000 in support for "Mediated Observations: Using Technology to Improve Literacy Instruction." A key program of the Center for Excellence in Urban and Rural Education's proposed Urban Teacher Academy, this program will use technology to improve literacy instruction by facilitating partnerships between teacher education faculty and highly qualified classroom teachers.
