School of Education to Host Indigenous Language Conference

The Buffalo State College School of Education is host to the 13th annual Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium (SILS) Thursday, May 18, through Sunday, May 21, on the college campus. Co-sponsors for the conference are the Seneca Nation and Erie 1 B.O.C.E.S. Bilingual Education Technical Assistance Center (BETAC).

Free Day at the Fitness Center

National Employee Health and Fitness Day is Wednesday, May 17, and the Buffalo State Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Intercollegiate Athletics Department will sponsor a free day membership to the Buffalo State College Fitness Center for faculty and staff. Campus employees may use the campus facilities throughout the day free of charge; tours of the center also will be available, and a brief orientation to the machines and equipment will be provided each hour on the hour. Spring is a great time to get in shape. Jump start your fitness routine on May 17 with a free visit to the Fitness Center. Call Nick DeMarsh at ext. 3816 with questions.
