Bengal Chase Challenge Begins Today

Posted:

Buffalo State College will participate in #GivingTuesday on December 1, 2015, but #GivingTuesday is much more than one day in December. #GivingTuesday is a global day driven by social media, collaboration, and participation. Observed the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable giving season.

Last year more than 27,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in the world. It’s an international movement, and our campus is a proud participant.

We’re rallying the entire Buffalo State community to participate in #GivingTuesday. Please join us and make a difference: share a volunteerism story or support a charity and post using the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #UnleashTheBengal on your social media accounts.

Participate in #GivingTuesday Bengal Chase Challenge. Download the GooseChase app on your iPhone or Android phone. Register as an individual or a team. To participate without the GooseChase app, visit https://buffalostate.wufoo.com/forms/bengal-chase, follow the weekly missions posted on the Buffalo State Giving website on Tuesdays, November 10, 17, 24, and finish up on Tuesday, December 1. The #GivingTuesday Challenge will match students and families against alumni and friends. The group with the most participants will receive the grand trophy.

For more information about #GivingTuesday, please contact Pam Voyer, stewardship and special projects officer, 878-3725.
