Buffalo State Food Pantry

Posted:

Milligan's Buffalo State Food Pantry has experienced an increase in requests for food, receiving over 200 requests so far this semester. If you are aware of students who are in need of food, please refer them to any of the contacts on the Food Pantry website.

Food donations have been collected from the following events:

  • The KIA Memorial Road March in August raised a sizable food donation.
  • Student-athletes collected food from 12 offices during the Homecoming Food Drive in October, organized by Tom Koller, senior associate athletics director.
  • Students from the dietitian education program held various events throughout the semester and used the funds to purchase nonperishable foods that are in greatest demand.

The generosity of the campus is greatly appreciated by all those involved, especially our students in need. If you would like to donate food items, please call or e-mail any of the contacts listed on the website. Please see the bottom of the web page for a list of the most-needed foods. Please contact Kim Jablonski, assistant director for mandated programs, for more information.
