Haiti, a nonprofit volunteer organization that assists the people of Borgne, Haiti, in achieving equitable, just, and sustainable living conditions, on Thursday, November 3, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Ketchum Hall 219. The recent hurricane has caused mudslides and structural damage; typhoid and cholera are expected to spike. Buffalo for Borgne has conducted two successful fundraisers to support the work of H.O.P.E. Haiti, but we are looking to recruit additional members of the campus and local community to join in supporting these efforts. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend this meeting to explore opportunities to connect existing courses, new service-learning courses, cocurricular experiences, and internships and to support fundraising efforts.

H.O.P.E. collaborates with the residents of Borgne to identify meaningful projects that support education, health, and economic development. Come and discuss how you and your students might get involved.
