Let's Get Moving, Buffalo State!

Posted:

This semester, there's a new walking program on campus. We meet on Mondays at 11:00 a.m. and Fridays at noon in front of Weigel Health Center for a 30-minute walk. Sometimes we stay on campus, and sometimes we visit neighboring attractions like the Richardson Complex or Delaware Park. In case of rain, we meet outside the entrance to the Sports Arena (the Buckham side). This is a chance to step outside and clear your head, get the recommended 30 minutes of daily activity, and chat with co-workers and students. When we spend so much time and energy working at our computers and dealing with daily stresses, it can be a challenge to fit in time for physical activity or socializing. Let the walking program help you recharge. Come walk with us!

Please contact Sarah Martin, Let's Move Buffalo State coordinator.

All Saints Day Mass: November 1

Posted:

The Newman Center invites you to spend the month of November in prayer. On November 1 and 2, the church commemorates “the Communion of Saints" by celebrating All Saints and All Souls Day on November 1 and 2.

The Newman Center will celebrate Mass for the Feast of All Saints on Tuesday, November 1, at 12:05 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall and at 6:00 p.m. in the Newman Center Chapel. There will be time before and after the liturgy to inscribe names of those we love in a Book of Remembrance. The Newman Center continues this observance throughout November with its Connections to Life Program. Campus ministry staff members will pray each day for all those whose names are inscribed in the book, and they ask you to hold these in prayer as well.
