Come and celebrate Mass tomorrow, the first Friday of the month, at 8:00 a.m. in the Newman Center Chapel. We will gather for Mass and start the month with a renewed perspective. Stay for a cup of coffee afterward or take a cup to go.

The Newman Center will host a Fruit-of-the-Vine Wine Tasting fun-raiser, featuring premium Finger Lakes wines handcrafted by Eagle Crest and O-Neh-Da Vineyards of Hemlock Lake, on Friday, November 3, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 1219 Elmwood Avenue. The evening will also feature a tasting of olive oils from the House of Olives, 1374 Hertel Avenue. Tickets are $10. Come and relax in the company of friends. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by phone from the Newman Center at 882-1080.

Please stop by Cleveland Hall 319 today to say goodbye to Sue McKnight, secretary 1 in the Alumni Affairs Office, who will retire from Buffalo State. Today is her last day. Ms. McKnight started her career at the University at Buffalo, where she worked for 10 years before joining Buffalo State as a keyboard specialist in May 2007. She was promoted to secretary 1 in 2012. She is looking forward to spending her retirement traveling and babysitting her four grandchildren. Please stop by and wish her well.

Buffalo State’s Rotaract Club will host a Bake Sale on Monday, November 6, in Butler Library from 11:30 am to 2:30 p.m. All baked goods are made fresh on campus in the Caudell Hall kitchen and will be sold for $1 each. Raffle tickets for a “Stress Free” themed gift basket will also be available for $1 each. If you are unable to stop by the sale table, please e-mail rotaractclub@mail.buffalostate.edu and a member of the club will make a special visit to your location with raffle tickets and a basket of goodies to choose from. Either way, please support our club’s bake sale. All proceeds will be donated to the Food Bank of Western New York. Your support is greatly appreciated!
