Senate Caucus: Election of 2018-2019 Senate Officers - May 11

The College Senate Bylaws and Elections Committee will host the annual College Senate Caucus—the election of Senate officers for the upcoming academic year—on Friday, May 11, from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. in Butler Library 210. All newly elected senators are invited to attend. The final College Senate meeting of the spring 2018 semester will follow the caucus at 2:00 p.m., also in Butler 210. Please note the one hour earlier start time. Questions may be directed to Vincent Masci, assistant to the College Senate, 878-5139.

The final College Senate meeting of the 2017–2018 academic year will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, in Butler Library 210. Please note the one hour earlier start time. The agenda is posted (PDF, 106 KB) on the College Senate website.

Senate meetings are recorded and posted as podcasts on the College Senate website. Please visit the website to catch up on past Senate news, listen to podcasts of past meetings, or review meeting summaries.

The College Senate Office is located in Cleveland Hall 211. Howard Reid, professor of psychology, is chair of the College Senate for the 2017–2018 academic year. College Senate Election Results: At-Large Senate Seats

The election for three at-large College Senate seats concluded Friday, April 27. The College Senate congratulates the following members of the faculty and professional staff who have been elected to serve as at-large senators. Their terms begin September 1, 2018, and are three years in duration. Thank you to the campus community for your participation in this election cycle.

Update Your Records with Human Resources Self-Service Module

With SUNY System Administration’s Human Resources Self-Service Module, employees are able to update their phone numbers, home addresses, and emergency contacts and view their legal name, demographics, and education information in the SUNY HR information system.

Employees are encouraged to review their records annually to ensure their information is accurate and up to date. If a change is necessary, it may be requested via the Self-Service Module. A user guide is available to assist employees in accessing and using the Self-Service Module. Home address and legal name changes may also be requested by completing the paper form.

Non-state employees may use the paper form or online Directory Add/Update Form.

The group has a code of conduct and an opt-out page where you can learn more about tailored online ads and your choices to opt out of receiving them. Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program Honors Convocation: May 10

The Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program will celebrate the exemplary academic performance of its outstanding students at the 51st annual Honors Convocation on Thursday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. in Rockwell Hall Auditorium. This year's theme is "Imagine, Believe, Achieve: Invested in Education."

Highlights of the program will include the presentation of special awards to students, staff, and faculty. The Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented to Vicki T. Sapp, ’94, ’97, director of student engagement, diversity, and inclusion in the Department of Student Affairs at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

EOP Honors Convocation recognizes students who have obtained a minimum 3.0 semester or cumulative GPA during the 2017 calendar year. The campus community is invited to attend the program, with a catered reception to follow. RSVP to Cathy McCoy, keyboard specialist 2, 878-4426.
