Butler Library Renovation Update

Posted:

Over the next several weeks, service points and staff offices on the first floor of Butler Library will be moved to new locations in the library or elsewhere on campus in preparation for the partial renovation of the library and construction of the Academic Commons.

Earlier in the semester, the Bengal Card Office was moved from the library to the Student Union, and many staff offices were moved from the first floor of the library to the third floor. Starting the week of May 21 and continuing through mid-June, the following service points are scheduled to move in stages:

  • Advising Center -  from Butler Library 147 to South Wing 100
  • Circulation Services - from Butler Library 103 to Butler Library 200
  • Professional Development Center - from Butler Library 181B to Chase Hall 109
  • RITE Support Desk - from Butler Library 147 to Bulger Communication Center 200 and 204
  • Technical Services - from Butler Library 150 and 155 to Butler Library 210
  • Writing Center - from Butler Library 157B to Butler Library 310

Brief disruptions in services and access to areas of the library can be expected as staff and offices are moved. For more information, please visit the Library Renovation Project website.

We appreciate your patience as we work to build a better library.

Information Security Awareness Training: Part-Time Adjuncts, Lecturers, Professors

Posted:

The SANS training system is experiencing problems. SUNY is working with the SANS organization to navigate, document, and address the issues. Given the problems that our own enrolled users have had, we are removing all remaining users from the SANS system.

If you planned to complete SANS training this semester and are now unable to do so, you may request training in fall 2018 by completing the Request for Information Security Training.
