Please tell students that today is the last day to vote in the Buffalo State undergraduate student elections. Undergraduate students must show Buffalo State or state ID to vote. Polls are open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union lobby. Election results will be posted online by 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Ms. Giczkowski has assisted one associate vice president and four vice presidents in her 23 years of service to the college. Call for Applications: Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program

The Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program (USRF) supports eight weeks of full-time research, scholarly, or creative activities in the summer. The USRF program is open to all Buffalo State undergraduates with a graduation date of December 2019 or later.

Each fellowship provides a student stipend of $3,000, a faculty stipend of $1,000, and $500 for travel, supplies, or equipment to support the project. To learn more about the program, please visit the Undergraduate Research Office USRF website.

The deadline for student submissions is Tuesday, April 9. Mentors have until Thursday, April 11, to complete the application. Information about current programs and resources about mentoring undergraduates conducting research can also be found on the Undergraduate Research Office website.

Accessibility Conference: March 22

The one-day conference "Accessibility: Designing Access for All Learners," focusing on needs in higher education, will be held Friday, March 22, in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall and Assembly Hall. This conference aims to provide attendees with tools and resources to increase their knowledge and to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all learners. Speakers for this conference will be faculty and staff members from higher education institutions who are experts in the field of universal design for learning (UDL), web accessibility, student services, and compliance. Institutional Effectiveness Office: Assessment and Reporting Seminar - March 14

The next Assessment and Reporting Seminar will be held on Thursday, March 14. The Institutional Effectiveness Office is offering this series of assessment and reporting seminars, open to all faculty and staff members, during the spring 2019 semester. The intent is to assist academic programs and units, co-curricular programs, and functional areas with various areas of assessment and reporting, such as designing an assessment plan, using Taskstream, completing a department annual report, and developing indirect and direct methods of assessment.

Faculty and staff members are welcome to attend any date; however, sessions will alternate between those focusing on academic programs and those focusing on co-curricular and functional areas. Departments and units are encouraged to attend as groups of colleagues. Remaining dates and times are listed below. All sessions will be held on Thursdays during Bengal Pause, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., in the computer lab in Classroom Building A108. Please use the links below to select and sign up for a seminar.

Electronic Course Evaluations: EvaluationKIT - Spring 2019 Courses

Information Technology offers the electronic course evaluation platform EvaluationKIT for the creation of department-level course surveys as an alternative to the use of Scantrons and Blackboard Enterprise Surveys.

EvaluationKIT offers a fully hosted online course evaluation and survey system designed to streamline the entire student feedback process for our campus.

All departmental service requests to use EvaluationKIT for spring course evaluations must be made by Friday, March 15, to guarantee successful deployment. 

Request a departmental course evaluation deployment through the IT self-service portal.
Register for a workshop through the Workshop Registration System to learn more about EvaluationKIT.
