Eileen Merberg, retention and leadership specialist, Residence Life, has been selected to serve as a program reviewer for the ACPA College Student Educators International 2009 Convention, to be held in Washington, D.C., March 28–April 1, 2009. Merberg will also be a keynote speaker at the Small College Consortium annual student leadership conference held on October 4 at Daemen College. Her talk will focus on the millennial student and the advantages and challenges of being a leader.

Marguerite Knowles, assistant professor, Communication, will present her short documentary, “See That the World Is Moving,” at the first biennial Seneca Falls Dialogues to Celebrate Women’s and Human Rights, in Seneca Falls, New York, October 11–12. The film, directed and shot by Knowles, is a historical documentary focused on the 1848 Women’s Rights Convention, organized by Elizabeth Cady Stanton in Seneca Falls.
