Secondary Power Interruptions in Cleveland Hall and Clinton Center Scheduled for Later This Week

Posted:

In preparation for the installation of new emergency generators, secondary power to Cleveland Hall and the Clinton Center will be interrupted later this week. Please note that the interruption of secondary power should have no discernible impact on building users. Primary electrical power will be available as usual; however, should an emergency power outage coincide with these interruptions, the buildings would be without power.

Trained personnel will be on “fire watch” duty as a safety precaution, as fire alarms may not be functional during these upcoming periods. In addition, because there is a chance that network interruptions could occur during these outages, occupants are advised to power down computers and any other sensitive equipment prior to scheduled interruptions.

The Cleveland Hall interruption is scheduled to take place from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22. The Clinton Center interruption is scheduled for 5:00–11:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, and 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24. Questions about these events may be e-mailed to VPFM@buffalostate.edu.
