Donate your old eyeglasses and sunglasses

EVERGREEN will be collecting eyeglasses and sunglasses for the month of March. There are drop boxes located at the information desks in the Student Union and the Library. Glasses can also be sent through the campus mail to: EVERGREEN, Student Union, 112A. By donating your glasses you are helping people with eyesight difficulties worldwide. With the price of glasses exceeding three months' average salary in some African countries, donated eyeglasses are the only feasible way to bring sight to many visually impaired.

Discussion: Life and Education in South Africa

The School of Education's Center for Excellence in Urban and Rural Education will sponsor a presentation by Dean Ronald Rochon, Theresa Harris-Tigg, Myrtle Welch, and Kathy L. Wood on their experiences in the American Educational Research Association - People to People Ambassador Delegation trip to South Africa. Please join them in a round table discussion about life and education in South Africa. The presentation will be on Friday, March 5, in Caudell Hall 115, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
