Cultural Information Night on Haiti

The campus community is invited to attend a cultural information night on Haiti, Friday, March 5, in Cleveland Hall 418 starting at 6:00 p.m. This event, sponsored by the Haitian Relief Committee and the International Student Organization, will feature exceptional visual and oral testimonies of the disaster that is currently affecting Haiti. Haitian food samplings will be served.

Funding for Overseas Study, Research, and English Teaching Assistantships

On Thursday, March 11, at 12:15 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center North 2C, students can learn about funding available from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for overseas graduate study or research or assistantships to teach English in a number of other countries. Those who will be graduating seniors or graduate students in 2010–2011 are eligible to apply in the next round; however, it is not too early for those who may be interested in future rounds to find out more about these prestigious grants.

Music Faculty to Present Recital at Burchfield Penney Art Center

Buffalo Philharmonic cellist Amelie Fradette will perform a recital with fellow Buffalo State faculty members Amy Glidden (violin) and Bryan Boyce (piano), today, March 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center. The concert will feature music by Prokofiev, Popper, Kodaly, and Bartok. Admission is free and open to the public.
