Register for 136th Commencement: Regalia Order Deadline Extended to March 14

All faculty and staff are invited to celebrate with the Buffalo State Class of 2008 by marching or volunteering in the 136th Commencement on Saturday, May 10. The deadline for marchers to place academic regalia rental orders, with guaranteed hood colors and standard charges, has been extended to Friday, March 14. Register to march or volunteer online, where marchers will find additional regalia information and volunteers will find rehearsal information. Volunteers do not wear academic regalia. Please register to march or volunteer by Friday, April 25. Thank you very much for supporting our graduates on Commencement day.

25th Annual International Cultural Fiesta

The 25th annual International Cultural Fiesta will be held on Saturday, March 15, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Rockwell Hall Auditorium, followed by dinner in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Tickets are $4 and are available at the Rockwell Hall Box Office. The International Cultural Fiesta is a major event at Buffalo State which promotes and supports diversity on campus and for the larger community. Come and enjoy an evening of entertainment and great food from around the world. Everyone is encouraged to bring friends and family to attend this wonderful and unforgettable annual international event.

Take Back the Night 2008

Take Back The Night (TBTN) is a powerful event designed to give back the power to survivors of sexual and domestic violence and their allies. Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff participate in this event which consists of poetry readings, invited speakers,  student speak out, a march, and more! The event will take place on Friday, April 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Deadline for Equity and Campus Diversity Awards Is Friday, March 21

The deadline for receipt of nominations for the Philip Santa Maria Award for Student Leadership in Equity and Campus Diversity and the Award to Faculty and/or Staff for the Promotion of Respect for Diversity and Individual Difference is Friday, March 21. Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to nominate students for the Philip Santa Maria Award for Student Leadership in Equity and Campus Diversity. Awards are given to undergraduate or graduate students who have demonstrated leadership in diversity curricular or co-curricular activities, student organizations, and/or community service or projects. Students are encouraged to nominate faculty and/or staff for the Faculty/Staff Award.
