A big thank-you goes out to everyone who so kindly and generously supported the 11th annual Student Art Sale. Sales were way ahead of last year's—proving that the college community supports its students! Through the annual sale, students have a real-world opportunity to participate in every aspect of organizing a sales event, test their work in the marketplace, and earn some money at the same time.

Weekly Evergreen Fact: Recycling

While recycling has generally increased, recycling of specific materials has increased even more drastically. Fifty percent of all paper, 34 percent of all plastic soft drink bottles, 45 percent of all aluminum beer and soft drink cans, 63 percent of all steel packaging, and 67 percent of all major appliances are now recycled.

Wine and Golf Basket Raffle to Benefit CMAA Student Chapter

Students involved in the Club Manager's Association of America (CMAA) student chapter are hoping to earn enough funds to send them to the CMAA National Confernce in Orlando this February. Their goal is to raise $800, and they have so far earned about a third of the funds needed.

The BSC Newman Center's Alternative Spring Break team of students will be providing child care services this Friday, December 7, between the hours of 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. Just bring your children to the Newman Center facility, located at 1219 Elmwood Avenue (at the corner of Penhurst Place) and we'll keep them safe, cared for, and entertained while you enjoy a night out!
