Designing fashion retail spaces in physical and digital environments to strengthen a brand's image and engage customers; visual merchandising design principles, elements, and composition; off-the-shelf technology for physical store design; merchandise presentation in online and mobile retail platforms; virtual retail space design; and virtual reality and augmented reality technology. FTT 365 Fashion Digital Retailing. Prerequisite: FTT 150. Evolving landscape of fashion retailing in the digital era; technological and cultural shifts in fashion retailing and relationship with consumers; various models of fashion digital retailing; digital marketing concepts and practices; challenges and opportunities of fashion digital retailing; and environmental, social, and governance implications of fashion digital retailing strategies. Offered spring semester.

NFS 448 Nutrition Care D. Prerequisites: NFS 403 and NFS 447. The fourth in a series of supervised experiential learning clinical nutrition care courses. Emphasis on independence in applying evidence-based medical nutrition therapy including nutrition education to patients in an acute care setting. Clinical experiences include parenteral and enteral nutrition. Clinical dress required. Offered spring semester.

PAD 508 Housing as Public Policy. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Exploration of housing's place in American society and the role of public policy. Examination of the inequalities of the current housing system and the role of planners and public administrators in creating more socially equitable housing policy from a position of "decent and affordable housing" as a human right. Offered occasionally.

Course Revisions:
BUS 488 Internship (formerly BUS 378 Professional Business Practice). Prerequisites: Upper-division standing and instructor permission. Supervised internship/field experience in a business setting offering practical, hands-on application of business concepts and theories. The internship is under the direction of a faculty internship supervisor with cooperation of company internship supervisor. Students can earn 3-12 credits based on internship hours completed. Offered every semester.

ENG 362 Children's Literature (formerly ENG 260 Children's Literature). Prerequisite: CWP 102. Introduction to children's literature, both fiction and nonfiction, from classic to contemporary. Examination of principles and concerns of literary quality, critical theory, and the historical development of children's literature. Attention is also given to the role of technology and multimodalities in children's literature. Offered every semester.

PHY 410 Advanced Physics Laboratory. Prerequisite: PHY 307 or equivalent. Selected advanced experiments chosen from the areas of modern physics, optics, nuclear physics, solid-state physics, and semiconductors. Offered spring semester.

PLN 315 Land Use Planning and Development (formerly Principles of Urban and Regional Planning). Prerequisite: PLN 215. The composition and administration of municipal development regulations and zoning ordinances, including their relationship to current and long-range planning. Examination of methods to determine site feasibility and design, inventory existing land uses, and determine locations for future land uses. Regulatory approval process for land development projects, including environmental review. Offered occasionally.

PSY 360 Evaluating Psychological Science. Prerequisite: PSY 350. Overview of the science and methodology of psychology in preparation for applied careers in psychology. Topics include how to be successful as a consumer of psychology information; language and structure of research as a process of scientific inquiry; analysis and evaluation of research articles; fundamentals of writing in the discipline; fundamentals of psychological research; ethical principles. Required for applied psychology majors. Offered every semester.

Course Revisions:
ANT 307 Urban Anthropology. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing. Ethnography of urban spaces across the globe. Consideration of industrialization, deindustrialization, neoliberal change, migration, and immigration. Analysis of states' and private capital's roles in shaping infrastructure, mass transit, and street forms. How city is navigated and inhabited by humans and other species. Ethnographic approaches to natural disasters and climate change in cities. Offered every other year.

ANT 350 Global Marriage Practices. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing. Ethnography of cross-cultural structures of marriage, kinship, household, and family. Analysis from premodern to modern family types, transformation in gender roles, empowerment of women, and dissolution of traditional kinship structures and emergence of new family forms. Consideration of legal and religious frameworks and their transformation from comparative perspectives. Offered every other year.

BUS 640 Strategic Human Resources. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Survey of human resources in the workplace. Overview of the human resources life cycle, including strategic human resource management; recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; performance management; diversity, equity, and inclusion; employee rights and labor-management relations; and training and development. Offered fall semester.

FTT 310 Fashion Apparel Production (formerly FTT 310 Sewn Products Industry). Prerequisite: FTT 206. Understanding product quality in fashion; the process of producing high-quality apparel products; evaluation of industry standards and practices; hands-on experience in fabric performance and sewn product testing and evaluation; the process of producing apparel products from conceptualization to final delivery; application of sustainable and ethical practices; costing and pricing strategies. Offered every semester.
