Rockwell Road Parking and Traffic Advisory

The final phase of the Rockwell Road reconstruction project will begin on Tuesday, September 6, with the contractor completing work on the eastbound lanes. The contractor will stagger the work area so traffic may continue to use the eastbound lane. However, some parking spaces along Rockwell Road will be unavailable. Please use caution when driving on Rockwell Road and heed University Police officers and traffic signs. The project, weather permitting, will be completed within two weeks. Thank you for your cooperation.

Read the Bulletin Today!

When a new issue of the Bulletin is published, a Bulletin banner will appear in the Daily (see left). Click on the Bulletin banner and you will be linked to the online version of the Bulletin. College Relations will no longer send a separate e-mail announcing its publication. The Bulletin contains official announcements and other information of importance to the college community and is published most Thursdays during the academic year. Copy deadline is 4:30 p.m. Monday of publication week. Articles must be approved by the president, provost, senior adviser to the president for equity and campus diversity, College Senate chair, or a vice president.

Traffic and Parking Advisory for Move-In Day

Friday, August 26, 2005, is Move-In Day for residential students. Some parking lots near dorms will be reserved for use by students who are moving into the dorms and will not be available for faculty, staff, and student parking. The following lots will be used for move-in activity on Friday, August 26: Lot A-1 (Rockwell Road, north and south sides) from Cleveland Circle Drive west to the entrance of lots F, F-1 and G. Lot D, Academic Drive, except parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities; and Lot D-1. University Police officers and Residence Life staff will be available to direct students and their families. Thank you for your cooperation.

Emergency Training Exercise on Campus Today

The University Police, Residence Life, and various other first-responder organizations will be conducting a life-like emergency training exercise on campus, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Some roads on campus may be closed during the exercise. EMERGENCY RESPONSE DRILL on Monday, 8/22

The College will be conducting an emergency response drill, 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m., on Monday, August 22, 2005. The drill will include responding to a "fire" in North Wing. A Parking and Traffic Advisory

Tomorrow, Thursday, August 18, Jozef Slawinski’s historic 18-ton, 16-foot by 19-foot sgraffito mural of Joseph Calasanctius, will make its way from Graycliff estate to be installed on a recently constructed pedestal just north of Butler Library. To facilitate the installation, parking lot U will be closed to all vehicles on August 18. Traffic on Iroquois Drive may also be impacted.

The Dawn of a New Daily

The Daily has been retooled, expanded, and given a smart new look. Now available in HTML, the new Daily will hit campus in-boxes for the first time Monday, August 22. Don’t worry, there’s a choice between HTML and plain text (current version); your local e-mail settings decide which you’ll get. Another reason to celebrate: The submission limit has been increased to 1,200 characters, so you can share double the information with campus.

Roof Repairs Impact Parking
