Many thanks to all who have contributed to the 2017 We Give, We Grow, Faculty and Staff Appeal. The money raised through this campaign is tremendously helpful to our students. The appeal ends on May 15.
So far, we have reached 80 percent of our goal, and we are looking to exceed participation from last year. If you havent indicated a gift yet, there is still time to do so. Please remember that every gift matters.
If you have any questions, please contact Mario Hicks, director of annual giving, 878-3467.
From the Chair of the College Senate
The final meeting of the College Senate for the spring 2017 semester will be held on Friday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m. in Butler Library 210. Please note the one hour earlier start time. The meeting will include votes on a number of policies and final reports from each of the standing committees. All are welcome to attend. The agenda will be posted on the College Senate website on May 5.
The Senate caucus (election of Senate officers) will precede the Senate meeting, at 12:15 p.m. in Butler Library 210.
If you missed a Senate meeting and want to catch up, podcasts of each meeting are now posted to the Senate's podcast web page. Senate meeting minutes and summaries are also posted to the website and distributed to Senate members with the monthly Senate packet.
Members of the Buffalo State Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will conduct an emergency drill simulating an automobile accident today, April 25, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Lot G-2.
You may see emergency actions and observe actors portraying victims and rescuers near Grant Street. Do not be alarmed. This is a simulated event. The goal of this exercise is to train CERT members in the event of an incident where a vehicle would strike a crowd of people. We are fortunate to have volunteer CERT members on campus, an ongoing partnership with police, and a continually updated and tested Emergency Response Plan.
If you have questions, please call University Police at 878-6333.
