The spring 2021 grading window will close Wednesday, May 19, at 9:00 p.m. Detailed documentation for entering grades (PDF, 191 KB) is available on the Banner website. Additional assistance is available by calling the IT Help Desk at 878-4357 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you have questions about grading, please call the Registrar's Office at 878-4811. We have provided a grading tip sheet (PDF, 617 KB) to assist you in successful grading.

Tell Students: Civic and Community Engagement Is Looking for an AmeriCorps Member

The Civic and Community Engagement office is looking for a new AmeriCorps VISTA member to join the office team and support programs that engage students in civic learning and community service.

National service through AmeriCorps VISTA is a great way for current seniors and graduate students to build skills while working in a professional environment.

This full-time, one-year position begins May 2021 and will

  • use communication tools to educate students about social justice, community priorities, and opportunities to volunteer;?
  • plan and implement community service and civic engagement events and program?s.

A full position description and application instructions are available on the Civic and Community Engagement website. Applications are due Thursday, April 15.

Tell Students: Education Access for Multi-Lingual Learners - March 31

Participate in Civic Engagement Week by attending one of our workshops to learn and take action for social justice.

Join Jennifer Serinuk, program coordinator for the Community Academic Center (CAC), to learn how the center provides equity and access for youth and families pursuing educational goals on Buffalo's West Side, on Wednesday, March 31, from noon to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom. Ms. Serinuk will discuss in detail the programs the CAC offers that have an impact on refugee, immigrant, and multilingual children and adults. Tell Students: Community Service Scholarship Available

Students who graduated from a Western New York high school who will be full-time freshmen or sophomores at Buffalo State College in fall 2021 are eligible to apply for the Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Service Scholarship. 

The Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Service Scholarship provides a $5,000 four-year scholarship to a student who has done significant volunteer work to address community and social issues and will commit to continuing to volunteer as a college student.

Students can apply through the Camus Application Portal for Scholarships (CAPS) by Sunday, April 11.
