From the Chair of the Buffalo State Senate Curriculum Committee The following have been received in the Buffalo State Senate Office, logged, and will be reviewed by the Curriculum Committee: Course Revision: FTT 413 Textile Surface Design II (formerly CAD: Weave for Industry). Prerequisite: FTT 304. Transition 2D textile design to cutting-edge 3D textile design using industry-leading software; analyze traditional and contemporary weaving and knitting techniques and delve into 3D textile design basics; advanced techniques such as procedural texturing and mapping in 3D digital textile design to heightened fabric realism; advanced digital portfolio development. Offered occasionally. Course Revision with General Education 2023 Designation: SOCIAL SCIENCES CRJ 101 Introduction to Criminal Justice. An introductory analysis of the agencies and processes of the criminal justice system, including an examination of patterns of crime and victimization; underlying ideologies; procedures, functions and structure; fundamental legal concepts; interaction between various social groups and the criminal justice system; and organization, discretion and decision-making of police, criminal courts, and correctional services. Offered every semester.

Considers new cohorts of artists, including women like Artemisia Gentileschi, who forged professional careers. Examines the affinities of modern and contemporary artists with those of this period.
