Fall 2023 Final Grading Window Now Open

The grading window is now open for fall 2023 and will close Wednesday, December 20, at 9:00 p.m. Faculty members will enter their fall 2023 grades using Banner. Detailed documentation for entering grades (PDF, 191 KB) is available on the Banner website. Additional assistance is available by calling the IT Help Desk at (716) 878-4357 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If you have questions about grading, please call the Registrar's Office at (716) 878-4811. We have provided a grading tip sheet (PDF, 712 KB) to assist you in successful grading.

The grading window will open Monday, December 11, at 9:00 a.m. and close Wednesday, December 20, at 9:00 p.m. In preparation, faculty members are encouraged to log on to Banner to be sure that all their courses are listed under their account.

ART at the Center: Third Thursday of Each Month

Make the Burchfield Penney Art Center your second home! Join us for ART at the Center on the third Thursday of each month with exhibition tours, gallery activities, and hands-on experiences. ART at the Center is a free drop-in program for Buffalo State students and is held at the Burchfield Penney Art Center from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on the following dates:

September 21: Gallery Games with Julian Montague's exhibition; engage in the gallery followed by a design hands-on activity.

October 19: Investigate Charles Burchfield's exhibition; learn about Charles E. Burchfield and follow up with a watercolor activity.

November 9: Exhibition tour of Art In Craft Media; gallery activities followed by a craft hands-on activity.

Attention, Graduate Faculty: Graduate Studies Meeting - September 22

The director of the Graduate Studies Office, Kevin Miller, will host the fall 2023 Graduate Studies Meeting with Provost Mayrose and graduate faculty members on Friday, September 22, at 3:00 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center 217. The meeting will focus on policies related to graduate students and graduate studies, Graduate Studies Office operations, upcoming shifts in operations, and updates regarding the Graduate Student Association.

Tell Students: FBI Information Session - September 14

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will host an information session on Thursday, September 14, at 12:30 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center 214. Recruiters will discuss their summer 2024 internship program and other opportunities within the FBI. The deadline to apply for the summer 2024 internship is September 20, 2023. The internship is highly competitive, and this session will help guide students through the process. Students from all majors and class years are encouraged to attend.
