Jason Knight, associate professor of government, planning, and philosophy, was invited to sit on two panels on affordable housing as part of the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Architecture and Planning’s Annual Clarkson Visiting Chair Week. This year’s Clarkson Chair is Alex Schwartz, professor of public and urban policy at the New School, national expert in affordable housing, and author of the book, Housing Policy in the United States, the current edition of which Dr. Knight was a reviewer. Dr. Knight will take part in two panels and chair a third: Wednesday, March 12, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Technical Research Seminar: For Researchers Interested in Data Sources on Housing, with a Focus on Affordability and Vacancy with Alex Schwartz and Camden Miller, clinical professor, UB. Thursday, March 13, 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.: Home and Sustainable Living Roundtable with Alex Schwartz; Heather Abraham, associate professor, UB School of Law; and Todd Sage, clinical associate professor, UB Social Work. Thursday, March 13, 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.: Dr. Knight is chairing a panel of local practitioners on the Future of Housing Policy.
