Posted:

The Monroe Fordham Regional History Center is pleased to sponsor the conference "A Celebration of a Century of Ethnic History: Contributions of Ethnic Communities to Buffalo and Western New York" on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17.

The conference will showcase the extensive collections of the Fordham Center, the most comprehensive regional archive of African American–related material in the nation. The event is open to the public; admission for both days is $20. Admission is free for students and members of United University Professions (UUP) through funds made available by the UUP Campus Grants Program and the Equity and Campus Diversity Office. Optional meals are available for purchase: the cost of meals is $35 for dinner on Friday and $20 for lunch on Saturday.

Additional information is available on the Monroe Fordham Regional History Center website. Inquiries may be directed to Chris Root, special projects assistant and conference director, 878-5998.
