On-Campus Tai Chi Practice Group: Organizational Meeting January 25

Buffalo State faculty and staff members who are interested in practicing Taoist Tai Chi on campus are invited to attend an organizational meeting on Monday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. in Bishop Hall 304 to plan the schedule for the upcoming semester. Anyone who is interested is welcome to join.

Faculty-Staff Bible Study for the spring 2016 semester starts today at noon in Butler Library 210B. The group usually meets every other Friday at the same time and location. The last part of the meetings is spent in sharing and prayer. All are welcome.

Buffalo State Alumna to Perform at Newman Center Winter Party: January 30

Lindsey Holland, a 2015 graduate of Buffalo State, will headline the Buffalo State Newman Center's Winter Party with Rick Holland's Little Big Band on Saturday, January 30, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Foundry, 1738 Elmwood Avenue. The 10-piece band will play swing and jazz all evening. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online on the Newman Center website. Tickets include hors d'oeuvres, dessert, coffee, and dancing. A cash bar will be available. The deadline for reservations is Sunday, January 24. Please call 882-1080 or e-mail newmancenter@buffalostate.edu with questions.

Tell Students: Graduate Student Spring Orientation - January 13

The Graduate Student Spring Orientation will be held Wednesday, January 13, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m.

The orientation program will provide new students with an opportunity to have their questions answered and to speak with individuals representing individual academic departments, the Graduate School, and student service departments. Students will also have an opportunity to meet other new students in their program. Light refreshments will be served.
