The following has been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee a for fall 2019 review:

New Course:
DSA 610 Databases and the Data Science Information Life Cycle. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Introduction to a “big picture” understanding of data flow for strategic, data-driven decision making, including data storage, data organization, data gathering and preparation, exploratory data analysis, and meaningful visualizations and communication. Includes hands-on practice. Offered occasionally, beginning spring 2020.

Fall 2019 Curricular Reviews to Commence in October

From the Chair of the College Senate Curriculum Committee
The College Senate Curriculum Committee will resume its review of curricular proposals in October. Bhakti Sharma will continue as chair of the committee for the 2019–2020 academic year. Please direct questions about submitted proposals to your respective associate dean. Any proposal that has been approved pending revisions (APR) should be acted on immediately to prevent extended delays over the summer. All proposals must be approved by the respective associate dean before final approval by the chair of the Curriculum Committee. All proposals go through KissFlow. For technical issues regarding KissFlow, please create a ticket in the IT self-service portal or contact Andrew Chambers, information management specialist in IT. Please contact Vincent Masci, assistant to the College Senate, 878-5139, with general questions.
