Campbell Student Union Summer Hours

The Campbell Student Union will modify its hours from Sunday, May 19, to Wednesday, August 21. 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. 
  • Saturday–Sunday: Closed

Hours are subject to change on dates when New Bengal Orientation is held over the summer.

Barnes & Noble Hours
The Barnes & Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore and the Starbucks Café will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Spot Coffee Hours
Spot Coffee will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Milligan’s Food Pantry Summer Hours

Milligan’s Food Pantry will be adjusting its hours for the summer. Starting May 19 and ending August 21, the pantry will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 4:00 p.m. Outside of those hours, students in need may pick up food at University Police.

Brief Job Description:
This individual will properly maintain the records for our students going to other institutions and using processes such as Cross Registration, Off-Campus Study, National Student Exchange, Special Programs, and International Exchange. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for some local processes as well as interpreting new or reworked policies to create efficient and effective processes, which will play a role in accurate data collection and impact our collective retention efforts. This individual will also play a crucial role in providing timely and accurate communication to students, faculty, and staff by providing courteous, professional service through in-person, telephone, and electronic communication.

Summer Professional Development Workshop Series for Students

The Career and Professional Education Center (CAPE) invites students to participate in a Professional Development Workshop Series—an interactive program designed to help them build the career skills employers value most.

When? Thursdays, starting May 22 to July 24
Time? 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where? Bacon Hall 204

Each week, students will engage in hands-on activities and discussions focused on the eight NACE Career Competencies:
Professionalism
Teamwork
Communication
Technology
Equity & Inclusion
Critical Thinking
Leadership
Career & Self-Development

Whether students are working, interning, or taking classes on or around campus this summer, it's a great opportunity for them to build their professional skills. Students who complete the full series will receive a Certificate of Completion—an excellent addition to their résumé or portfolio.

The nomination period for the election for the offices of president, vice-president, recording secretary, and treasurer has closed. Candidates for President are Randy Marinchek Jr. and Earl Morris. The positions of Vice-President, Recording Secretary and Treasurer each had only one incumbent candidate, who are hereby considered elected/unopposed. Congratulations Julie Wholf as Vice-President, T. Morris as Recording Secretary, and Susan Dickinson as Treasurer. The Online Teaching: Technology and Educational Resources (OTTER) Institute, hosted by the SUNY Center for Professional Development (CPD), is an opportunity for online practitioners, regardless of teaching modality or experience, to learn more about online education’s innovations, trends, and challenges.
