Vacation Accruals for Classified Service Employees

Posted:

Employees in the CSEA, PEF, PBANYS, and NYSCOPBA bargaining units are reminded that any vacation accrual balances that exceed 40 days on April 1, 2013 (October 1, 2013, for PBANYS and NYSCOPBA), must be adjusted downward to stay within the maximum allowed by NYS attendance rules and the agreements between the public employee unions and the State of New York.

If your vacation balance exceeds 300 hours (for employees who work a 7½-hour day) or 320 hours (for employees who work an 8-hour day), you may wish to request to use vacation time before April 1 (October 1 for PBANYS and NYSCOPBA) to avoid losing leave accruals.

Underground Utility Project Resumes March 25: Sidewalk and Two Ketchum Hall Entrances to Close Temporarily

Posted:

The project to replace underground utilities in the eastern portion of campus will resume during the week of March 25. The sidewalk immediately north of Ketchum Hall—from the east side of Ketchum Hall to the east side of Moot Hall, including the area south of the Donald Savage Building—will be closed until approximately May 20. Pedestrians should use the walkway south of Bacon Hall for east-west travel through Rockwell Quad.

The Ketchum Hall north entrances will be closed, except for emergency use, during this eight-week period. The east and west entrances to Ketchum Hall will remain open.

This project is scheduled to continue through summer 2013, with landscaping continuing through fall 2013. Additional Daily Bulletin messages will advise the campus community about ongoing impacts of the project. Your patience is greatly appreciated as this critical upgrade resumes.

For more information about construction at Buffalo State, please visit the construction website or view a map of exterior construction zones. Questions about this or other campus capital projects may be e-mailed to vpfm@buffalostate.edu.
