What Should I Do If State Property Is Stolen?

Posted:

If an asset or equipment is suspected of being stolen, contact University Police (UPD) at ext. 6333 immediately. UPD will send an investigator who will obtain all the necessary data on the missing property and the circumstances surrounding its disappearance. The investigator will need to know the asset number, description, manufacturer, model, serial number, and cost. If the asset is recorded on inventory, the data should be readily available. A copy of the investigator’s report will be sent to Business Services, which will then retire the asset from the department inventory. If you file a theft report with an off-campus police department, you must also file a separate report with UPD.

The Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) is available for 2012 to eligible CSEA and M/C Classified employees. This program gives eligible employees the opportunity to exchange previously accrued annual leave (vacation) or personal leave for a credit toward the cost of their health-insurance premiums. Sick leave credit cannot be exchanged under this program.

The enrollment period for the 2012 program is October 31 through December 5, 2011. In order to participate, eligible employees must file an election form by Monday, December 5. Participants currently enrolled in PEP must submit a new election form to participate in the 2012 program.
