Call for Proposals: Equity and Campus Diversity Minigrants

The Equity and Campus Diversity Office is pleased to announce the continuation of the campus’s Equity and Campus Diversity Minigrants. Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before the scheduled activity.

The final College Senate meeting of the spring 2014 semester will be held today at 2:00 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 210. Please note the one-hour earlier start time. The meeting agenda is posted on the College Senate website. The Senate Caucus, which is for senators only, will take place at 12:30 p.m., prior to the Senate meeting, in Butler 210.

Carnegie Application for Community Engagement Submitted

SUNY Buffalo State has officially submitted its application for Carnegie’s 2015 Elective Community Engagement Classification. A copy of the final version is available on the Volunteer and Service-Learning website (PDF). The task force thanks all members of the campus community who provided information and devoted time to the project through open forums, interviews, or other means.

Campuses that applied for the Community Engagement Classification will be notified of Carnegie’s decision in December, and institutions that receive classification will be publicly announced in January 2015. For details about the Carnegie designation or the application process, please see the Carnegie Foundation website.
