Grant Allocation Committee Request for Proposals

Posted:

Because of an unspent balance resulting from programs that did not use all allocated funds, the Grant Allocation Committee (GAC) is requesting proposals from individuals, departments, and student clubs and organizations for funding of programs, speakers, and events to take place during the spring 2014 semester (January 1–June 8). These proposals may be for events that have already taken place or for events that will take place during the spring semester.

Additionally, the GAC requests proposals for funding of programs, speakers, and events to take place during the summer and fall semesters. The deadline to submit applications under this funding cycle is Wednesday, April 30. Proposals must adhere to existing guidelines, which can be found online along with the required application for funding.

Spring 2014 awards must be spent no later than June 9, 2014.

In an effort to cut costs and in keeping with our efforts to go green, all proposals must be submitted electronically to marzolkl@buffalostate.edu, with one hard copy delivered to Cleveland Hall 519.

Celebration of Life Cemorial Ceremony Today

Posted:

The Counseling Center requests your participation in the Celebration of Life (COL) memorial event today, April 11, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center's Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium.

The COL program, held annually since 2001, remains one of our most significant traditions. The focus is to remember students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have passed away during the last academic year. This spiritual, nondenominational program provides a forum for the Buffalo State community to grieve communally and to remember and celebrate those lives that have touched them. The hour-long program includes songs, poems, and a reading of the names of our departed Buffalo State family members. Light refreshments follow in the lobby.
