New Senator Orientation: September 5

From the Chair of the College Senate
The College Senate will hold its annual New Senator Orientation for all newly elected senators on Thursday, September 5, during Bengal Pause (12:15–1:30 p.m.) in the Grande Conference Room, Cleveland Hall 418. This annual session, hosted by the chair of the College Senate and the College Senate parliamentarian, gives newly elected faculty, professional staff, and students an overview of the official rules and basic protocol of College Senate meetings. The College Senate follows Robert’s Rules of Order, as is mandated by its bylaws. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged. Formal invitations will be sent to all newly elected senators in late summer. Please e-mail Vincent Masci, assistant to the College Senate, or phone the office at 878-5139 with questions.

2018-2019 Annual Reports, Taskstream Workshops

Annual reports for 2018–2019 are due on or before the following dates:

  • June 30, 2019: Individual reports from faculty, librarians, and professional staff due to director or department chair.
  • July 22, 2019: Department reports due to dean or associate vice president and completed in Taskstream.
  • August 9, 2019: Associate vice president and dean reports completed in Taskstream.

Forms for the submission of 2018–2019 annual reports for librarians and professional staff (individual information sheets) are posted on the Human Resource Management website.

All individual faculty annual reports must be completed via an electronic form. Individual links have been e-mailed to each faculty member. The e-mail was sent through the Qualtrics mailer, so if you cannot find it, first check your junk mail. If you still cannot find it, please contact Tiffany Fuzak, research analyst, 878-4132.

All academic and functional departments will submit their annual reports via Taskstream. The Institutional Effectiveness Office is offering Taskstream annual report workshops through the month of June. Registration is required. The schedule of remaining workshops and registration links appear below:

Registrar's Office: Summer 2019 Waitlists

Waitlists for Summer Session 2019 will be turned off at 11:59 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Session ES and VS – Wednesday, May 29
  • Session LS – Tuesday, July 9

Students can continue to add after the established session deadline using the Online Late Add Process directly in Banner.

For a complete list of all summer 2019 deadlines, please see the most recent deadline calendar (May 1, 2019). Printed copies are available in the lobby of Moot Hall 210.

Butler Library Main Entrance, Lobby Closed through August

Posted:

Butler Library's main entrance (west/Student Union Plaza) and lobby will be closed starting tomorrow, May 22, through late August to accommodate continuing renovation work. Building occupants and patrons may use the south (StudyQuad) entrance, from which the elevator and main stairs will be accessible.
