Registrar's Office: Tell Students - How to Register for a Course after Being Granted an Override in Banner

Posted:

If an override is granted in Banner, the student must then attempt to register for the course again by entering the CRN on the Add Classes Worksheet at the bottom of the Add or Drop Classes page and select Submit. The student must select Submit to be successful.

It is critical that the student does not attempt to search for the section using Look Up Classes. The course may not appear available, especially if it is closed because it has reached maximum enrollment capacity.

AFP Social Justice Festival: Ideas + Action = Justice - Schedule of Events

Posted:

Buffalo State University's Anne Frank Project will host its 15th annual Social Justice Festival: Ideas + Action = Justice on campus on Wednesday and Thursday, October 4 and 5. Please join us for two days of diverse workshops and exhibits that will actively engage participants in kinesthetic learning opportunities on ways to respond vs. react. View the schedule of events on the AFP website, and be sure to save the dates! Registration opens Friday, September 1.

About our Theme: Ideas + Action = Justice
We live in a world where the “Twitter-verse” and “TikTok-land” can falsely reward ideas presented in isolation. Ideas without action require no courage, no research, and no truth, all fitting underneath the umbrella of “reaction.” Reactions do not require education, and they have no lasting impact. When ideas are followed up with action, positive impact becomes possible. This is a response, not a reaction. This is the only way to make positive personal and social change: justice.

The AFP 2023 Donn Youngstrom featured presenter is activist and model Autumn Rose Williams. Ms. Williams will open the festival with a keynote address on Indigenous awareness, self-love, and empowerment on Tuesday, October 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s Tower Auditorium, with an interactive workshop the next morning.

Please contact AFP’s assistant director, Jonise Hall, with any questions about this year’s social justice festival.
