NCTM is the world’s largest organization committed to improving mathematics education for all students.

An editioned collage by Gerald Mead, lecturer, Design, was included in a portfolio published by the University of Oregon and acquired for its collection. Mead presented a lecture titled “Collecting Western New York Artwork” in Batavia, New York, on October 2 as part of the Art Collectors Series sponsored by the Genesee Community College President’s Innovation Award Grant. He also gave a lecture titled “Women Artists of Western New York” at the Garret Club in Buffalo on November 1. Mead received the Ethel and Wilbur Lytle Memorial Award for his work in the 111th Annual Exhibition of the Buffalo Society of Artists, on view at the Premier Annex Gallery in Clarence, New York, October 5–November 3.

Buffalo State College was featured in a case study by ANGEL Learning Inc., the provider of the campus learning management system, ANGEL. The study highlighted the dramatic increase in ANGEL use since fall 2005, as well as the relatively smooth conversion process from the college’s former vendor.
