Registrar's Office: Time Conflict Checks in Banner

Posted:

Safeguards are in place to prevent students from accidentally registering for two courses whose times overlap. If a student attempts to register for a course that overlaps with the time of another course, the student will receive an error message, "Time conflict with CRN xxxx." If a student has a valid reason to obtain a time override, they should contact the instructor of the course for which they are attempting to register and for which they received a time conflict registration add error message. Please visit the Registrar's website for detailed Registration Add Error Messages.

Call for Nominations: UPstander Awards

Posted:

The Counseling Center is soliciting nominations of students, faculty, and staff members for the fourth annual UPstander Awards.

We use the term "upstander" to demonstrate the opposite of "bystander." UPstanders are involved in and contribute meaningfully to our community. The awards celebrate those who have gone over and above their assigned roles or duties on campus. UPstander Awards are given annually to members of our Buffalo State Civil and Caring Academic Community who’ve made a difference in someone’s life by such things as an act of kindness, unselfish actions, proactive behaviors, and caring attitudes.

UPstander Awards will be presented during the Take Back the Night event on Monday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Please nominate deserving students and colleagues by Saturday, April 1, using the UPstander Award Nomination Form.
