Train with the LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Pride WNY

Posted:

Do you train students, faculty, staff, or volunteers on campus? The new LGBTQ+ Resource Center and the Pride Center of WNY would like to help enhance your training offerings next semester and beyond. We can talk about a variety of issues including trans health and competency; exploring LGBTQ communities, history, and cultures; men’s and women’s health; identity development and sensitivity; testing and sexual health and safety; and addressing concerns such as bullying, confidentiality, gendered spaces, and the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA).

If you are interested in talking more about bringing a training to your campus or community group, please contact Sean P. Terry, student activities assistant for evening and weekend life, in the Student Leadership and Engagement Office.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center is located in Campbell Student Union 105G and is overseen by the Student Leadership and Engagement Office. Be on the lookout for opportunities to connect with other faculty, students, staff, and community members at our events throughout the spring semester. If you would like to be a part of increasing LGBTQ+ inclusivity on campus, please join the Bengal Allies! Please contact Char Vetter, associate director of the Weigel Wellness Center, or Sean P. Terry for more information.
