Webinar: Math Education for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Almost all STEM fields require high competence in mathematics, a subject that can be difficult to effectively present to blind and visually impaired students. This presentation will describe traditional problems and solutions for teaching math to blind students, as well as outline emerging issues related to the rapid growth of online learning and computerized math coursework. It will also cover results of testing and studies using new software tools.

The SUNY Center for Professional Development in support of EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) invites Buffalo State faculty to attend this free webinar on Tuesday, August 12, at 2:00 p.m. Register for this webinar on the EASI Website. Please note: there was no opportunity to preview this webinar.
