Advocacy is active support of an idea, cause or person. In order to advocate effectively for sexual assault survivors it is necessary to understand the cultural context. We design most sexual violence intervention and prevention strategies to accommodate difference. Truly relevant strategies require us to embrace it. All communities have specific norms, strengths and challenges.
