Ways to Help during the Coronavirus Outbreak: Volunteer to Be a SUNY Interviewer

The Civic and Community Engagement Office is providing information about ways faculty, staff, and students can be active citizens and support our community during the coronavirus pandemic.

New York State is seeking immediate assistance from SUNY faculty and staff to help meet a pressing need related to COVID-19. Interviewers are needed to support NYS hiring of important health-focused personnel. Assistance is needed to conduct second-round interviews.

Each interviewer will be provided both the job description and some sample questions to ensure the candidates understand the role. SUNY is seeking to secure 100 faculty and staff volunteers to serve as interviewers.

The time commitment for each interviewer is four to five hours a day for three to four days. The interviews are expected to take place between May 11 and 17; therefore, immediate action is needed to sign up to become an interviewer.

If you are interested, please provide your contact information online.
