Watercolor Workshop: Painting Uncorked at the Center - February 15

Painting Uncorked, a fun painting experience with step-by-step instruction from watercolorists Jody Ziehm and Beverly DiPalma, will be held Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Participants will create their own watercolor, no experience necessary. Set in a casual atmosphere with wine and hors d'oeuvres, this workshop will provide a friendly approach to Ziehm and DiPalma's instruction. Participants will be inspired by Charles E. Burchfield’s Summer Afternoon, 1948, a watercolor on paper that is currently on view in the Exalted Nature exhibition. Come alone or with a group of friends and family members.

All materials will be provided: paint, brushes, paper, and aprons. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are included. You will leave with your own original 11-by-14-inch painting, matted and ready to frame.

To register for this workshop, please contact Kathy Gaye Shiroki, ext. 3549, or download the registration form (PDF) from the Burchfield's International Center for Watercolor website.
