The Banner waitlist function was tested during spring 2013 registration with a pilot of about 40 sections. A survey of the participants generated an overall positive response. We are moving forward to make the waitlist option available for all courses offered during both the summer and fall 2013 semesters.
Faculty: It is important to work with your department to determine whether or not you will offer a waitlist option for your course. Also, knowing how your course(s) is set-up (for example using restrictions vs. reserve seats) is important in understanding how to resolve student inquiries and registration add errors. Detailed information on waitlisting for students, faculty and staff, FAQ’s, and resolving registration add errors can be found on the Banner website. The waitlist maximum is 25 students per course.
Summer/Fall 2013 Important Dates/Information:
- Banner Preview begins Monday, March 11.
- Summer 2013 master schedule currently available online.
- Fall 2013 master schedule available online starting Wednesday, March 20.
- Summer/Fall 2013 registration begins Wednesday, April 3.
