The College Writing Program is proud to present the fall 2011 series of Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) workshops. All members of the Buffalo State community are invited to attend. The initial workshop, “Using Writing to Teach Nontraditional Students: ESL, Adult Learners, and Multilingual Learners,” will be held on Thursday, November 10, in Caudell Hall 116 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. This workshop will cover information for dealing with nonnative speakers in the classroom and will be presented by Wendy Scott. It will focus mainly on writing, but other language uses such as speaking and listening will also be addressed. Nontraditional (adult) learners’ needs will also be discussed.

Participation is limited; please call Chris Kessler at ext. 5451 or register online.
