VSLC Community Service Peer Leaders Hosting Clothing Drive

Volunteer and Service-Learning Center community service peer leaders are Buffalo State students who work with one of 18 community organizations and the VSLC to recruit, supervise, and oversee volunteers and service-learning students at the organizations, as well as support the missions and programs of the organizations. Made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Peer Leaders program develops civic and leadership skills, helps organizations conduct important work throughout the region, and provides students with professional development opportunities throughout their participation.

As their group community service project, the peer leaders are facilitating a campuswide clothing drive to benefit the Buffalo City Mission. The Buffalo City Mission has an ongoing need for gently used clothing, and donations will be picked up weekly. The central drop-off location is the Campbell Student Union, with drop-offs also in dorms and the VSLC.

Please help make this service project a success by bringing in gently used clothing from now through the end of the semester.
