Posted: Tuesday, October 27, 2020Voting, Civil Rights, and Racial Justice Presentation: Today
Please join President Conway-Turner and the Civic and Community Engagement Office for a conversation with Franchelle C. H. Parker and Max Anderson of Open Buffalo today, October 27, at 4:00 p.m. about 716 Votes! and its civic initiative to engage, educate, and activate people of color, ages 16 to 25, to increase voter registration and participation in the 2020 election and beyond. 716 Votes! is rooted in empowerment, training, and leadership. The objective is to first assist youth to heal from community traumas, and then teach them how to become advocates for racial equity, social justice, and policy change.
If you didn't register for Bengals Dare to Care, you can do so now and join us on the CCE's Facebook Livestream beginning at 4:00 p.m. to attend this conversation.
The CCE also encourages you to dive deeper into some of the engagement materials curated on the topic of voting, civil rights, and racial justice and to complete one of the Take Action opportunities. Engagement materials and Take Action resources are available on the Bengals Dare to Care website under Week One.
