Volunteer for Spring Community Service Day

Faculty, staff, and student volunteers are needed for Buffalo State Spring Community Service Day, Saturday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Community Service Day is an opportunity for participants to work together with the wider community at various sites throughout the city to complete revitalization projects. This year's projects include:

- Building garden beds at the Asarese-Matters Community Center
- Creek clean up and trail maintenance along Scajaquada Creek
- Planting blueberry and raspberry bushes at the Curtis Urban Farm
- Building an accessible ramp into a local church
- Street sweeps along Grant Street and Elmwood Avenue

The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center especially needs faculty and staff volunteers to act as site coordinators by leading and organizing students during the project. To register as a site coordinator or general volunteer, send your name and e-mail address to vslc@buffalostate.edu, call ext. 5811, or visit Cleveland Hall 306.

We look forward to seeing you on April 16!
